If we haven’t met yet, I’m Kirby. I’m a dad to two boys—one of whom, Harley, has a rare genetic condition called Pitt Hopkins, that changed the way I see just about everything. This space was born out of that journey
.When Harley was first diagnosed, I was flooded with fear, grief, and a pressure I didn’t have words for. I didn’t know where to turn or who would get it. And if you’re here, maybe you’ve felt some of that too.
This isn’t a blog full of perfect advice or silver linings. It’s real talk from a dad who’s still in it, just like you.
Here’s what you can expect:
Weekly reflections on fatherhood, identity, grief, healing, and growth. Some posts will be about the hard stuff—what it’s like to carry invisible weight, to feel isolated, or to question your strength. Others will offer tools, spiritual practices, or moments of light that have helped me keep going.
You’ll also get the occasional guest posts, videos, audio clips, or resources I’ve found helpful.
Want to go deeper?
Here are a few ways to connect beyond the newsletter:
🔗 Resource Library – A collection of helpful links, books, tools, and guides for navigating this path.
👥 Got4titude Inner Circle Facebook Group – A private, supportive group for dads (and parents) raising kids with disabilities. Come say hi. You’re not alone.
You’ll get new posts straight to your inbox every week. And if something here ever hits home, I’d love for you to reply, comment, or share it with someone who needs it.
So again—welcome. You belong here.
No mask, no pressure. Just space to be real.
With 4titude,
Kirby
